They can make outstanding companions and they are extremely social. The decision to add an African Grey to the family should not be taken lightly. They require lots of training and consistent love and interaction. It is a life-long commitment but one that can be extremely rewarding.
Timneh Grey Parrot
Timneh Greys are slightly smaller than their Congo cousins with a darker grey coloring on their bodies and a beautiful burgundy tail.
Ideal cage size for this bird would be 36’’ long, 24’’ wide and 66’’ high with ¾’’ wire spacing. At Birds Paradise Aviary Shop we have African grey for sale. Furthermore, we focus on education, nutrition, and conservation. We work very hard to help educate our customers on parrot companionship.
Every hand fed baby is weaned on to a high variety diet. I was first introduced to birdparadiseavaiary about 1.3 years ago through a video they posted on Facebook. I was toying with the idea of adopting a bird.
Fast forward to today. I have adopted 2 birds in that time. With each I felt that Birds Paradise Aviary Shop offered the best possible experience. They allowed me to talk about what I wanted, worked with me on making the right choices and answered every question I had about bringing home a young bird. Then a year later doing the same with another while teaching me about letting them get introduced in the best possible way.
I love that they offer their brand of food for me as a customer to bring home. It helps me know that I am providing the best food available. They also do a great job of helping you make the right selection to ensure maximum nutrition for your specific birds.
Every time I have gone into the store I’ve been greeted with friendly faces. I don’t feel like just another customer. The interaction I get has always been personally catered to my birds. They remember who I adopted and genuinely love hearing about how they are doing.
My most recent visit included boarding. I boarded my two for 5 days. The experience was phenomenal. They were very thorough with listening to the needs of my birds as well as my needs to make it a smooth transition to them being away from home. The care they received with top notch. Every detail from feeding routine to sleeping preferences even including the cage setup was handled with the bird’s best interest and comfort in mind.
Whether you are a first time bird parent, someone looking to add to the flock, someone looking to learn more about your birds or someone that wants to board when you go out of town, I can’t recommend them enough. Their firsthand knowledge and expertise in every area I’ve been involved with them has been the best I could ever hope for.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! First, let me say that it is obvious that they take amazing care of every bird there. Not only have they provided a fantastic environment for them (wonderful and roomy enclosures with plenty of toys and things to stimulate them), it is also clear that they spend a lot of time caring for and getting to know them. Maria helped us and was very in tune with all of their unique personalities. Everyone there seemed to have a genuine love and passion for the birds. They also give them plenty of time outside their enclosures. On top of that, Maria spent a substantial amount of time giving us a tour and letting my daughter hold several macaws and other parrots. She was so incredibly helpful and we can’t thank her enough for her hospitality and kindness. Alexis, the Manager, and the other employees were also fantastic! They truly made my daughter’s dreams come true and I can’t thank them enough. I would 1000% recommend them! You won’t be disappointed!

Boarded my parrot there for a super reasonable price. They also sell food and have lots of toys, perches and you name it. It’s similar to Hornsbeck which never was the same after selling out to a bidder but it’s better than Hornsbeck! Great place all around!

I just picked up my Congo African Grey Parrot today! Momi is the cutest grey parrot I have ever seen. This is my first little parrot and I think there will be more! The staff is helpful and well informed on the birds, food, treats, toys etc. Joyce is the bet along with her daughter! They have a great online service before i could even get to the store and is clean and alive with the all squawking from the parrots! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a feather friend!!

To Carol and Josh as you know I was a CAG owner for 39 years and after losing him in December I never thought in a million years I would own a African grey! You both were so accommodating and ensured he was ready for his 8 hour journey home! We bought our sweet baby African grey during the COVID pandemic. Everyone was so kind working with us online and over the phone to review the cage, toys and food we picked out, and made great suggestions to further supplement our choices. Curbside pickup was great, and they brought our sweet baby girl out to meet us in her cage since we couldn’t go into the store to see her. We bring our girl to her forever home in a few weeks, and can’t wait until the day arrives!
